What is Salesy?
Salesy is a strategic outreach workflow for B2B sellers. Not a template generator, not a mass blast tool. It guides you through the thinking that high-performing reps already do before they write anything, then turns that thinking into messaging worth sending. The output is 3 message variants, each from a different angle, ready to copy and paste into LinkedIn, email, or follow-up.
Who is Salesy designed for?
Enterprise AEs, account managers, channel sales reps, recruiters, consultants, and founders. Anyone where the quality of one message can change the trajectory of a relationship or a deal. Salesy is not designed for high-volume, low-touch outreach. It's designed for strategic communication in high-value selling environments.
Is Salesy built for spam outreach?
No. Salesy is not built for mass automation or bulk outreach. It's designed for relationship-driven selling where one message to the right person at the right time is worth more than a thousand generic sends. If you want to blast sequences to thousands of contacts, Apollo and Outreach do that well. Salesy is for the conversations that actually matter.
Does anything send automatically?
No. Salesy drafts messages and puts them in your hands. You copy, paste into Outlook, Gmail, or LinkedIn, review, and send manually. You are always in control. Built for strategic communication, not mass automation.
Does it work for any product or industry?
Yes. Select your industry at the top of the tool and Salesy adjusts the placeholders, language, triggers, and AI prompt to match your buyers. Technology, SaaS, Financial Services, Healthcare, Cybersecurity, Manufacturing, Professional Services, and Commercial Real Estate are all supported. The product description field is always free text — you describe what you sell in your own words.
Doesn't filling in 11 sections take longer than writing the email myself?
About 4 minutes for a thorough input — and most of that is intel you should already have before reaching out to anyone serious. Compare that to 20+ minutes writing from scratch, or 30 seconds sending something generic nobody replies to. The input isn't overhead. It's the thinking that makes the output worth sending.
On Pro, your voice profile is saved permanently. Your writing style, tone, guardrails, and product description are pre-loaded every visit. At that point you only need to enter prospect-specific intel. That's about 90 seconds of input and 90 seconds of generation. Faster than opening a blank email.
Will the output actually sound like me?
Yes. Section 8 captures your writing style, directness level, phrases to avoid, and a writing sample. Salesy uses all of that to calibrate the tone and voice of every draft. On Pro, your voice profile is saved permanently so every draft sounds like you wrote it on your best day.
Will my outreach sound human?
Only if you put in real context. Salesy is a strategic drafting engine. Your research is the ingredient. Generic input produces generic output. Specific input — a LinkedIn post, a press release, a known business priority, a real reason why you're reaching out — produces messaging that feels researched. Because it is.
What are the 3 variants and why are they different?
Variant 1 leads with the trigger event or recent news. Variant 2 leads with the pain point or business pressure. Variant 3 leads with a proof point, insight, or Challenger-style reframe. Each takes a genuinely different angle so you can pick the one that fits your read of this specific buyer at this specific moment.
What is the 5-touch sequence builder and how does it work?
The sequence builder is a Pro feature that generates a complete 5-touch outreach sequence from the contact intel you have already entered. After your 3 draft variants are generated, a "Build sequence" button appears. Click it and Salesy generates 4 follow-up messages completing the full sequence. Each follow-up references the previous touch without repeating it, tries a different angle, escalates the urgency anchor naturally, and gets progressively shorter and more direct. The final touch leaves the door open gracefully with no pressure. Timings are clearly labeled: 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, and 21 days after the first touch. Every sequence is saved to your member dashboard so you always know exactly what you sent and when.
Is the sequence builder available on the free plan?
No. The sequence builder is a Pro-only feature. Free users can see the button after generating drafts but it will prompt them to upgrade. The sequence builder is one of the primary reasons to upgrade to Pro — it turns a single outreach moment into a complete strategic conversation arc without any additional research or setup.
I already know how to write outreach. Why do I need this?
Most sales reps aren't struggling because they can't write. They're struggling because they haven't built a system for thinking strategically before they write. Why this prospect, why now, why would they care. Salesy provides that structure. The reps who use it consistently stop winging their outreach and start sending messages with a real story behind them. That shift — from reactive to strategic — is something most reps spend years figuring out on their own. Salesy compresses that timeline.
What is the sales psychology layer and why does it matter?
Section 11 is unique to Salesy. It asks about buyer motivation type, the cost of inaction, the right proof type for this buyer, whether there's a Challenger-style reframe opportunity, and what real urgency exists. These are the psychological levers that separate messages that get replies from messages that get deleted. Most AI tools don't know these concepts exist. Salesy applies them structurally to every draft.
What is loss aversion and why does Salesy use it?
Loss aversion is a well-documented psychological principle: people are roughly twice as motivated to avoid a loss as they are to achieve an equivalent gain. Most AI-generated messages lead with what the buyer will gain. Salesy asks which motivation is driving your buyer right now and writes accordingly. When someone is protecting something — budget, reputation, market position — leading with what's at risk outperforms leading with what's possible.
What is the Challenger-style reframe?
Challenger selling is a research-backed approach where the rep reframes how the buyer sees their problem — showing them something they hadn't considered, or positioning the issue in a way that makes the status quo feel more risky than change. When you fill in the reframe field in Section 11, Salesy applies it as a Challenger-style insight in Variant 3. It's the most powerful of the three variants when it's done well.
What's the difference between real urgency and manufactured urgency?
Manufactured urgency ("act now before prices go up") destroys trust with sophisticated buyers. Real urgency is tied to something external and true: a budget cycle, a contract renewal, a regulatory deadline, a competitive move. Salesy prompts you to identify real urgency anchors and uses them to frame timing naturally. If there's no real urgency, Salesy doesn't invent it.
Why does proof type matter?
Different buyers find different proof credible. A VP of Finance wants ROI numbers and cost comparisons. A VP of Engineering wants technical architecture and peer adoption. A risk-averse buyer wants to hear what happened to someone who didn't act. Salesy asks which proof type fits this buyer and instructs the AI to use it. Generic tools use whatever proof sounds impressive. Salesy uses what works for this specific person.
Is Salesy just another AI writing tool?
No. Most AI writing tools give you a text box and a generate button. Salesy is a structured strategic workflow with 11 sections covering account context, buyer psychology, relationship dynamics, sales psychology principles, and desired outcomes. The framework is what makes the output different. Not the AI model.
What's the difference between Salesy and Apollo, Outreach, or Salesloft?
Those tools optimize for volume — more sends, more automation. Salesy optimizes for quality — one message that actually gets a reply. They solve different problems. Most reps use both: a sequencing tool to manage outreach at scale, Salesy to make each message worth sending. They're not competitors.
Why wouldn't I just use ChatGPT directly?
ChatGPT gives you a blank page. Salesy gives you a strategic framework. The framework structures account context, buyer psychology, relationship dynamics, and tone into a cohesive outreach strategy. ChatGPT doesn't know what loss aversion is or how to apply it. It doesn't know what a Challenger reframe is. It doesn't adjust for industry-specific buyer psychology. Salesy does all of that before generating a single word.
What makes Salesy different from AI email generators?
Most AI email generators focus on speed. Salesy focuses on strategy, positioning, and message quality. It's designed to help sellers think through the why behind the outreach before generating messaging. The result is communication that's relevant, contextual, and executive-ready rather than fast and generic.
Does Salesy replace personalization?
No. It improves it. Salesy helps sellers organize the strategic inputs that high-performing reps already think about: account context, business drivers, buyer priorities, relationship dynamics, competitive positioning, and desired outcomes. The goal is higher-quality personalization, not mass AI spam.
Is my prospect data stored anywhere?
No. The prospect information you enter — names, companies, trigger details, pain points — is sent to Anthropic's API in real time to generate your draft and then discarded immediately. Nothing is logged, cached, or retained on Salesy's servers. The only thing we store is your email address and subscription status.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Salesy uses Anthropic's Claude API. Under Anthropic's API usage policy, inputs submitted via the API are not used to train their AI models by default. You can verify this directly at anthropic.com/privacy. Your data is never used for training, full stop.
My company has strict AI policies. Can I use Salesy?
Salesy has a minimal data footprint by design. No prospect data is stored. No customer data passes through our servers. All processing happens in real time via Anthropic's API. We've built a dedicated Security page at
getsalesy.io/privacy for IT and compliance teams that covers data architecture, encryption, third-party processors, and compliance posture in detail. We respond to security questionnaires within 2 business days.
Does Salesy use cookies or tracking?
No advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. We use a single localStorage entry in your browser to track your free draft usage. Our analytics tool is Plausible, which is privacy-friendly and cookieless. We don't sell data to anyone.
